Founder-Led, Field-Built

3P Safety was founded by Patrick Salazar — an OSHA 500 authorized construction outreach trainer, working NCCCO-certified mobile crane operator (LBC, TLL, and TSS designations), tower crane operator, certified crane inspector, and lift director. He has been in the field since 2005, and he still works it: planning lifts, running inspections, and standing in front of crews every week, including on federal contracts where documentation gets checked line by line.

That background matters for a simple reason. Cranes are the most heavily regulated equipment in construction, and a career spent qualifying crane operators builds one habit above all: if it isn’t documented, it didn’t happen. We bring that same documentation standard to machines OSHA regulates less prescriptively — excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, haul trucks, compactors, and telehandlers — where the burden of proving operator competence falls entirely on the employer.

Part of the 3P Safety Family

This site is one spoke of a larger outfit headquartered in Goldsboro, North Carolina. 3P Safety is the parent brand; 3P Safety Crane & Rigging Training handles NCCCO crane operator certification, rigging, and signalperson work; 3P Safety Inspections inspects cranes and lifting equipment; 3P Safety Staffing places safety professionals; and 3P Safety Training delivers OSHA outreach and workplace-safety courses. More than 1,000 companies have run their people through the family’s programs.

How Training Is Delivered

Every course on this site is delivered on-site, at your location — your jobsite, your yard, your machines. A working instructor runs classroom instruction on the standard and the machine, a written test, hands-on practical coaching, and an individually scored evaluation for every operator. You receive the full records package before the instructor leaves: rosters, tests, scored evaluations, and wallet cards identifying the machines covered.

Goldsboro is our only physical location — there is no branch network, and we don’t operate walk-in schools. That’s deliberate. Operator evaluation is supposed to reflect the machine, attachments, and ground conditions the operator actually works, and the only place to do that honestly is your site. It’s also why one call can cover crews in any state on the same standard, with the same paperwork.

What We Don’t Do

We keep lanes clean across the family. Forklift / powered-industrial-truck and aerial or scissor lift (MEWP) training live with 3P Safety Training. Crane operator certification, rigging, and signalperson courses live with 3P Safety Crane & Rigging Training. And we don’t sell self-paced video certificates for any machine on this site — a card printed off a website, with no hands-on evaluation behind it, doesn’t qualify anyone and won’t survive an audit. If that’s what you’re shopping for, we’re the wrong provider on purpose.
